On December 30th , 1949, the “Cultureel Centrum Curaçao / Sentro Kultural Kòrsou” was founded, with the following objectives:

Promotion of cultural life within the Netherlands Antilles , and in particular in Curaçao.

Work together with other organizations with same objective in The Netherlands, Aruba and the Caribbean to coordinate cultural exchanges between these organizations.
Throughout its history of more than 55 years, CCC has contributed to the cultural development of Curaçao in both a material and emotional way.
The areas of culture in which CCC operates are music, literature, theatre, dance, visual art, and social events where all these cultural aspects are represented.

Be the institution for expressive cultural education of the Curaçao community in particular, and where possible also in the region.
Contribute to the quality of life of the Curaçao community through the promotion of cultural and social-cultural activities.
CCC is furthermore very much interested in the youth as the ones who have to carry our culture in the future, and has therefore many projects in planning and execution to involve our youth in the cultural development of our island.
CCC is a non-profit, non-political foundation, with a board of maximum nine members, and depends on government subsidies, fundraising and donations for its finances.
